One day this "Work with me People" desk plaque fell off Sara's desk and broke right down the middle.  Instead of throwing it away, Sara retells the story that discussions and debates can get pretty intense, but you can always pick up the pieces and figure out a way to move forward, even after it breaks.  This broken desk plaque has been placed on every desk since as a reminder that by working together, people can always come up with new solutions and a new perspective.  

She started out in the media as a television reporter and covered historic events like a governor's sentencing in federal court, to a presidential announcement and the opening of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.  Sara knows what pitches get a reporter's attention and how to get favorable coverage from the media.  She has been on both sides of the camera for almost two decades, she also knows that social media is increasingly important in reporting your own story, and she knows what works.

As a communications professional with experience in government , professional sports and health care, Sara created strategies and plans that resulted in increased visibility and stronger reputations. to grow awareness and growth for every entity she worked for.  She is a whiz at looking at your processes and strategies and making recommendations to adjust and make them better.

Sara also served her community for eight years as a local and state elected official.  She knows what it takes to get things done in government , what strategies work best to get an elected official's attention and how to get results for you or your company.  She also helped run successful campaigns for political office and one time raised 1.8 million pennies in 2 weeks to bring an important Lincoln document back to Illinois.

Sara started KIND Consulting as her way to give back to companies in her state and to help them come up with creative solutions that will take them to the next level.
